About Randie
Originally from Philadelphia, Randie started singing at age 7. Randie grew up in a household that centered around a variety of musical influences. Her mother Mildred was a concert pianist before marrying her father, a Presbyterian minister. Her brother Dana is an established songwriter with an extensive list of credits. Randie joined her first band at age 14. An art scholarship led her to attend the University of Cincinnati and Kansas College. After graduation, Randie started touring the US and Canada with her own band.
Her Journey
Live Performances
In the late 80's Randie settled in Orlando and performed in the areas top nightspots. This is where she was discovered by Joe Sample of the Jazz Crusaders. In 1986 she was the featured vocalist with the Jazz Crusaders singing "Street Life" and "Burning up the Carnival". During the 90's Randie was the featured vocalist at the Cheyenne Saloon at Church Street Station in Orlando, Florida. A local favorite, Randie was awarded the "Female Vocalist of the Year" six straight years. Beginning September 1999 Randie was the featured vocalist for the Hard Rock Live Band. It was during this time that she performed with Bobby Kimball, Edgar Winter, Eric Burden, Spencer Davis and many more world renowned musicians.
Session Work
Throughout her career Randie has remained a favorite of producers. She has appeared on numorous CD's and is currently involved in several projects. She has worked with Tight Squeeze and did session work for Jeff Perris, Polygram, Evan Pace, Chrysalis and Barry Fosman who produced the Music for "Fame". In addition to local and national radio jingles, Randie's list of credits currently include international T.V. commercials for the U.S. Department of the Army. Producer Mike Franklin calls Randie "his secret weapon".
Current Projects
Despite a busy schedule Randie has always enjoyed performing live. Recently, Randie has returned to her Jazz roots. Her new Jazz band has been performing to stellar reviews. The Randie Paul Jazz Revue performs regularly at local clubs and is also available for conventions and private parties. The Randie Paul Jazz Revue is available in a variety of setups from an acoustic duo to an eight piece Jazz band.
